
As an actor, director, playwright and arts administrator Jeremy is a passionate and enthusiastic advocate for the arts. After graduating from the University of Lethbridge he co-founded the improv based Desperate Jester Theatre and performed across southern Alberta. In 2009 he assumed the role of General Manager of New West Theatre and in 2012 took on the Artistic Directorship of the organization. After six years as part of the administrative team of New West Theatre he stepped down to pursue other opportunities.
With extensive experience as an arts administrator he has a keen interest in theatre for young audiences, improvisation, and contemporary Canadian theatre. Jeremy has produced over 50 productions, many of which were premiere productions, and was most recently the Producer at Ghost River Theatre.
Jeremy is an award-winning playwright and has had over ten of his plays produced by professional, semi-professional, and educational organizations. His plays have been seen across Alberta as well as Santiago, Chile and Abu Dhabi, UAE. Jeremy's play Front Line was workshopped as part of Lunchbox Theatre's 2014 Suncor Stage One Festival and Ty Rex: King of Third Grade was a co-winner of the inaugural StoryBook Theatre National TYA Playwriting Competition in 2016. Jeremy was the President of the Board of Theatre Alberta from 2012 until 2016 and is a member of the Alberta Playwrights' Network and the Playwrights Guild of Canada (regional rep 2016-2019).
